Preparing to rail bank the property from CSX and coordinating the planning to get the Greenway we want takes funds.  

Negotiations are currently on-going to purchase the property but we have other small items that can be done while we are waiting for a price. These include things like coming up with an artistic design to replace the cresol-soaked ties by the historic railroad stations in Demarest and Tenafly.  To preserve the character of the stations a track is needed.  This will be very timeconsuming as we will work with SHIPA and the local historic commisions (State Hisoric Preservation Agency) to develop something suitable.
